August 5 is National Oyster Day. Naturally, Foco’s beloved Jax Fish House (and all Jax locations) will be celebrating by shucking 100 FREE 1/2 dozen Emersum oysters. The oysters shucking will begin at 4 p.m. and be first come, first serve.
The Emersum oyster, perfectly balanced with sweet, salty, and creamy qualities, is sustainably harvested from the Chesapeake Bay by Travis and Ryan Croxton of the Rappahannock River Oyster Company. Along with free oysters, guests will also have the opportunity to try Jax’ rotating selection of oysters from across the country, as well as celebrated recipes like Cajun Broiled, Buffalo Fried, and Rockefeller.
Happy hour will run during its usual time of 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., including signature cocktails, beer, wine specials, and Jax favorites from the kitchen.
