From August 6-16, a nationwide local food gathering will take place via the comfort of your own computer screen. The event will present a combination of online interviews, presentations, and live webinars presenting speakers on the front lines of the local food movement.
During this online event, you’ll find activists, practitioners, authors and elders who are gathering to touch on subjects like growing your own food, producing food to feed others, and supporting both the production and consumption of local food. The event will connect you with countless other like-minded people who take part in this movement.
Among the speakers will be Allan Savory, the founder and president of Savory Institute; Philip Ackerman-Leist, author of Rebuilding the Foodshed; and Carrie Balkcom, the executive director of the American Grassfed Association.
