Twelve months after opening its doors to the public, the Music District is in full swing with their mission of creating community and supporting a diverse musical ecosystem. Built on the foundation of making music accessible to everyone, the vibrant hub has welcomed a steady influx ranging from professional touring musicians to curious locals.
The inaugural year boasted 138 events with 5599 total event attendees who learned about the art and business of music while creating a growing musical community in Colorado and afar. The creative team at the Music District experienced rapid growth in the first year, with a grand total of 17 dedicated staff members eager to help you find your place in music, assist your bands with rehearsal space, and plan your next musical event.
The Music District team is marking their first anniversary on September 30 with “The Surround Sound Bash”, a mixtape-inspired party that will feature live performances and multimedia interactives housed in different sections of the sprawling campus. Party goers are encouraged to walk through all the themed activities and explore the Music District with an immersive scavenger hunt game.
The event is FREE with RSVP on their website themusicdistrict.org and open to all ages. If last year’s grand opening party is any indication of the crowd expected at the Surround Sound Bash, saving a spot via the website is mandatory for participation.
