Good Gravy – Silver of the Moon

Following in the footsteps of such bands as Yonder Mountain String Band, Leftover Salmon and The String Cheese Incident, Good Gravy is well-considered to be in the family of Colorado’s juiciest of jam bands. Their ostensibly constant touring throughout the Front Range makes them a familiar name in the bluegrass and Americana communities, and the band’s latest release of Silver of the Moon only solidifies their standing. The album has the sentimentalities of a live performance, incorporating tight-knit jams and trading instrumental spotlights throughout.  The good nature in “Ronny Letterman” and spontaneity in “Brassrail Saloon” perhaps best encapsulate the energy and atmosphere of Silver of the Moon. If you missed their show last month at the Aggie, rest assured that Good Gravy will be back in very little time.
