Akinz, located at 15 Old Town Square, Suite 132, is a fun, friendly, community-minded apparel shop owned and operated by designer/artist Suzanne Akin. As well as offering a full clothing line, Akinz also makes their own scarves, beanies, and headbands right in the store so that people can watch the process. The store is hopping during the month of November; throughout the month, come by to see artwork by Artist Wesley Sam Bruce, and on November 6 stop by, meet the artist, and get a screen print of his work on your favorite tote bag or t-shirt. November 1, watch for the Akinz twist on the Ugly Sweater: three unique designs, along with quirky holiday cards (will arrive mid November). November 1 through the 20 take part in Hats for the Homeless food drive; bring in a can of food and receive 40% off a handmade beanie.
