A sold out crowd filled tables at Bath Nursey on October 15th to help raise money for the Giving Project. The fifth annual Bounty and Brews, an event put on by Fortified Collaborations, combined the talents of 6 local chefs with 6 local breweries to collaborate on a unique dining experience. Cafe Vino, Tasty Harmony, 415, Fish, Music City Hot Chicken and Modern Tavern teamed up with Odell, Pateros Creek, Horse & Dragon, New Belgium, Black Bottle and FCB respectively. The venue was perfect, a beautiful fall evening with sunlight dappling the tables through the pergola. Volunteers bustled about, pouring beer and dropping delicious morsels throughout the evening. Inside, Colony Funk jammed away while people browsed through the silent auction offerings. The food was unique and delicious, each chef putting forth their best efforts, and mingling those flavors with their brewer counterparts. It was seasonal, fresh, and like no other dining experience in Fort Collins. Events like these continue to expand Northern Coloradoʼs commitment to community, sustainability, and uniqueness. As I stood there in the setting sun, a glass of beer in my hand and the smells of food tempting my senses, I was reminded again of how lucky I am to live in the Choice City.
