This month, 7,000 seniors at Colorado State University will be awarded degrees that are representative of numerous colleges and 65 courses of study for bachelor’s degrees, 55 fields for master’s degrees, 40 fields for doctoral degrees, and a professional degree in veterinary medicine. Commencement ceremonies take place at CSU May 12-14 during Mothers Day weekend at various locations around and near the campus. CSU was founded in 1870, originally as Colorado Agricultural College. Today, the college showcases a stellar list of accredited and world-renown programs, CAM the Ram as its live mascot, championship level sports teams, a strong alumni contingent, and also non-profit branches such as RamStrength. - FREE CONCERTS IN WELLINGTON
Wellington’s Main Streets Program is producing a series of free concerts this summer in Centennial Park in Downtown Wellington. The concerts will kick off at 6PM and run until dusk on the third Saturday of the month in June, July, and August. The lineup will feature some of the region’s best tribute acts as headliners, complimented by local original artists as support acts for each show.
June 17: My Blue Sky brings its Allman Brothers tribute along with Matt Skinner Band (Americana)
July 15: Switchman Sleepin’ does its Grateful Dead tribute accompanied by Goatz! (Country/Americana)
August 19: Hey Lady brings its highly entertaining B-52’s tribute with support from The Coteries (Folk)

Realities Ride & Rally Rocks Again This Memorial Day Weekend May 27 & 28, 2017. Civic Center Park is the scene and Memorial Day Weekend is the backdrop to the annual Realities Ride & Rally that raises more than $100,000 for children in Larimer County who have been abused or neglected. The event has taken on a life of its own, from humble beginnings with only 75 riders in 2002. This year will mark the 16th Annual and the event is now a Guinness World Record holder for the largest motorcycle poker run of its kind. Drawing bikers from around the country, and local community members who have never sat on a motorcycle, it offers attendees a 2-day music festival experience. In recent years, the event has added on some family-friendly activities like bungee bouncer, face painting, and since kid’s bicycle parade that will kick off the all-out patriotic activities on Saturday.
