One of Fort Collins’ favorite free events returns June 3 and this year it is in a new location, adjacent to New Belgium Brewing Company’s property at 500 Linden Street on the Poudre River Oxbow. There will be signs posted to direct attendees to the new spot and this is a free, family-friendly event that begins at 12:00 p.m. and runs until 7:00 p.m. During that time, visitors can learn about conserving the Poudre River and its resources through kids’ activities, connect with several local groups that work to improve the health of the river, and dance to live music performances by Lineage Music Project, Gasoline Lollipops, Dave Miller Blues Band, and The Patti Fiasco. Beer from New Belgium and food from local eateries will be available for purchase. Festival organizers include Bird Conservancy of the Rockies, Sustainable Living Assocation, NAI, Synergy Ecological Restoration, Environmental Learning Center, Wildlands Restoration Volunteers, and Coalition for the Poudre River Watershed. Additionally, several corporate sponsors help to host the event. For information: poudreriverfest.org or to volunteer, email: firstname.lastname@example.org.
