On June 24 from 5:30 to 8 p.m. at the beautiful Gardens on Spring Creek, Crossroads Safehouse will host their Summer BBQ event, featuring acclaimed musician, Liz Barnez.

All proceeds will benefit Crossroads Safehouse, a comprehensive domestic violence services agency, which is a Fort Collins-based, 501(c)3 nonprofit organization. Since 1980, Crossroads Safehouse has helped abused men, women and children by providing safety, shelter, personal assistance, and resources in order to build new lives free from domestic violence. The agency offers free safehousing, advocacy, legal assitance, transitional housing, and education while also providing food, clothing and support. They serve more than 500 residents currently. Each year, Crossroads provides more than 15,000 units of service to thousands of clients and program attendees.

Singer-songwriter Barnez, a Colorado favorite and ardent supporter of Crossroads Safehouse, will be performing. Liz started her musical career in the clubs on Bourbon Street in her hometown of New Orleans, Louisiana. She brought her eclectic style of music (which incorporates elements of folk, New Orleans R&B, blues, jazz, country, and a hint of pop) to Colorado in the late ‘80s and hasn’t slowed down since. Her acoustic swamp groove is apparent in her guitar playing, songwriting, and soulfully inspired singing. The evening’s entertainment is sponsored by Ray Dental.

While enjoying the music, you will be able to feast on a delicious BBQ meal (vegetarian options available) prepared by Grant Farms CSA and NoCo Catering & Events. Food, water and soda are included with your ticket. Beer and wine will be available for purchase.
