Westword Music Showcase 2017, sponsored by Coors Light, will kick off on Saturday, June 24 at the Golden Triangle. Now in its 23rd year, the showcase has grown each year and now includes a hefty list of national acts. Headliners for 2017 include Shakey Graves, The Revivalists, Cut Copy, Bob Moses, Coin, A R I Z O N A, and an extensive list of Colorado’s top regional acts. Nearly 200 “movers and shakers” of the Colorado music world were polled by Westword again this year to cast their nominations for bands and artists from our state, with more than 800 nominations making it into this year’s group for consideration. From these, 200 finalists were divided into 30 categories and placed on the official 2017 Westword Music Awards Ballot. Close to half of these will perform at this year’s showcase and voting for the Awards portion goes through June 25. The Westword Music Showcase is the largest music festival celebrating the Denver scene. It runs from noon to 10 pm on Saturday, June 24 in the Golden Triangle neighborhood of Denver.
