The Lagoon Summer Concert Series at Colorado State University is bringing some remarkable music to the Wednesdays of July. Steve Mantel kicks off the first July show on the 5th. Along with his band, he plays a wide variety of engaging covers and originals. Second in line, Union Gray is a Colorado based Texas/Red Dirt country band. They play new and old classics that will inspire your boots to kick up some dirt on July 12. If you feel like doing some booty shaking, Mojomama performs on July 19. Fronted by female power vocalist Jessica Rowand, this funk, rock and soul band is sure to get you moving. The final Wednesday of the of the month, July 26, hosts The Coteries, a folk rock trio who will serenade you into space with their eclectic blend of acoustic guitars, mandolin, stomp box, and harmonica.
Bring your chairs and picnic blankets, but don’t worry too much about packing snacks. At every Lagoon series, there are five food trucks (such as the Human Bean, A-Maize’N Kettle Corn, Umami Eatery, Austin Taco and more) set up ready to serve you some delectable dishes while you enjoy the tunes.
