New Belgium Brewing and Colorado State University have teamed up to create yet another new brew. Old Aggie Superior Lager is a crip golden lager that features CSU’s ram mascot. With green and orange vintage packaging, the beer hopes to bring through the school’s agricultural history.
Old Aggie will be available year-round, as well as across Colorado in mid-August. But for now, Fort Collins is the only lucky city to taste it.
The University will receive part of the profits from Old Aggie sales. Those proceeds will be distributed between CSU’s Fermentation Science and Technology Program, CSU Athletics, and alcohol awareness and education efforts for CSU students.
You can find the beer in 12-ounce cans, 24-ounce cans, and draft.
A launch party will be held at New Belgium July 1 at 2 p.m. Expect live music from Guerilla Fanfare, a quarterback throwing contest, and a Fat Tire Cruiser drawing.
