“Well, it’s all going to pot, whether we like it or not. The best I can tell, the world’s gone to hell, and we’re sure gonna miss it a lot…” Sung by the man himself, Willie Nelson (along with his buddy, good ol’ Merle Haggard) is the perfect medicine to ease our worried minds and, yes, that is a pun. His pure sativa strain, coined Willie Nelson, is just the strain to lighten this load of living while enhancing creativity and enjoyment of the true medicine of music itself.
National Crackdown on Legal Weed?
The New York Times recently wrote a piece concerning the Attorney General of the United States, Jeff Sessions, and how even though states across the country keep saying yes to legal marijuana, he continues to say no. His task force is scheduled to release their research findings by press time, which could have implications for marijuana business owners. “Around one-fifth of Americans now live in states where marijuana is legal for adult use, according to the Brookings Institution, and an estimated 200 million live in places where medicinal marijuana is legal. Cannabis retailing has moved from street corners to state-of-the-art dispensaries and stores, with California entrepreneurs producing rose gold vaporizers and businesses in Colorado selling infused drinks.” We’ll see how this new war on drugs plays out for the US Government.
Due to the long-held stigma around cannabis, it has taken years for proper research to be conducted. Common myth #1: Marijuana kills brain cells. A publication of The Journal of Neuroscience sums up a study at University of Louisville proving that marijuana use does not, in fact, kill brain cells. Using high-resolution MRI scans, it was found, “the whole-brain analysis, resulted in no clusters meeting significance thresholds between daily and nonusers….suggesting that there were no differences between nonusers and daily users in the specific regions of interest or anywhere else in the brain.”
Marley Family Book – Cooking With Herb

Well, fret no more, as the wonderful ganja loving Marley’s are at it again with a brand new book, Cooking With Herb, available now from Penguin Random House. “Wellness guru Cedella Marley, the daughter of famed reggae legend Bob Marley and the face of the premium cannabis brand, grew up in Jamaica with the familiar scent of The Herb and experienced its restorative and spiritual properties firsthand. Today cannabis still plays a role in her wellness regimen, whether it’s in her hemp-based moisturizer or in a soothing morning tea, and in Cooking with Herb, Cedella shows readers how they too can experience the healing benefits of cannabis safely and pleasurably.”
