Blind Alley Troubadours are a band that keeps the audience guessing. Their music integrates various styles including Americana, rock, blues, punk, country, folk and “awesomeness.”  With descriptions ranging from alt-country to mountain rock to gypsy rock, their genre is not easily nailed down. They like to say, “we play whatever we feel will get you groovin’.”

Fort Collins locals Blind Alley Troubadours formed in October 2013, with John-Erik on guitar and vocals, band manager David “Chewie” Rothenberg on skins, the lovely Karmen Mitchell on violin, Kyle Shelp as the official bassman, and Gideon Priegel on lead guitar. They are embarking on their first tour which Chewie says is, “the culmination of a TON of time put in over this past year practicing, getting closer, expanding our performances to the whole front range, writing, recording, and releasing an album, getting professional photos, building our internet presence, playing to ever-expanding responsive crowds, and perfecting our sound.”

Their latest EP Round the Fire was recorded at Stout Studios in Fort Collins and came out in July. The seven tracks range from ballads to rousing stomp fests and showcase the talent of the band together and as individuals. Entertaining and eclectic, the Blind Alley Troubadours are poised to make a splash beyond our local music scene, so catch them while you can at the following shows, and listen to their music at
