Everyone needs help sometimes. Your neighbor may need a cup of sugar, your coworker may need some backup in a meeting, or as local artist Kimberly Lavelle knows, elephants need to be saved from extinction.

Levelle and her partners from Soul Squared Brewing Company are hosting a fundraising event to benefit The David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust. The trust’s goal is to work toward “conservation, preservation, and protection of wildlife,” and they focus on rescuing and rehabilitating elephants in Kenya to restore the dwindling population.

Lavelle’s event will be held on November 1 from 6 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. at The Agave Room. Lavelle’s artwork will be on sale, and a live and silent auction will take place, with all proceeds being donated to The David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust. In addition, the event will be catered by The Rio, and will feature live music from The Blue DoGs band. Tickets can be purchased for $45.00 at
