Colorado World Hoop Day is a yearly extravaganza held in Northern Colorado that raises funds for the World Hoop Day Organization. This group encourages folks of all ages to get outside and express their creativity with hula hoops and other flow arts. This fun event, in its fifth year, invites movers and shakers to come express themselves through yoga, dance to the live DJ, learn at the free workshops, enjoy a performance showcase, participate in a raffle, and experience a fire show at dark! Everyone is welcome, and a small donation is appreciated to keep the event and the organization running year after year. And it’s not just for hula hoops! Poi, acro yoga, staff, and levitation wand are just a few of the other props and activities that you can find at Colorado World Hoop Day. Join in at Fossil Creek Park on Saturday, October 7, from 12-7 p.m.
If you can’t get enough of the fantastic flow family in Fort Collins, Luminescent Entertainment is here to provide circus-style antics around town and at private parties. Each summer they host free Fire Circus shows at local breweries and restaurants. Their last free show is September 30 at Maxline Brewing with two shows, one at 8 p.m. and one at 9 p.m. with live music in between. On Friday the 13th of October they will be premiering their LED Circus at the Bas Bleu Theatre with a spooky theme. Tickets are $10 in advance and $12 at the door. Come be entertained by FoCo’s amazing performers, and stay on the lookout for more exciting performances by visiting facebook.com/luminescententertainment.
