The Campfire Caravan is headed to Fort Collins! If you’re looking for an opportunity to jam to some folk music this fall, The Brothers Comatose, Mipso, and The Lil Smokies have you covered. As part of their fall tour, the trio of bluegrass/folk bands is playing at the Aggie on October 14. The tour is designed to be different in every city it hits, with none of the bands being an official headliner; the tour’s website claiming that “a completely different show will be presented in each city with spontaneous collaborations amongst the groups taking place between sets.” As if the ever-changing setlist isn’t enough to draw you in, the atmosphere may be. The tour is designed to make Americans gather around music the way they gather around a campfire, giving each show a laidback and euphoric experience. The tour’s site, campfirecaravan.com describes the event as “raucous” and “wholesome,” as well as being a combination of traditional and unorthodox concert techniques. In addition, the three bands featured are from different parts of the country (The Brothers Comatose coming from the West, Mipso hailing from the East, and The Lil Smokies coming from the Rocky Mountains), offering a music festival-style blend of musical experiences. Tickets can be purchased on the tour’s website, and each band’s music can be found on iTunes and Spotify.
