After a year-long hiatus for studio renovations and an extreme amount of planning, non-profit Northern Colorado public radio station, KRFC, is officially bringing back their show Live @ Lunch. The tradition of celebrating live and local music will kick off on December 5 with special guests, 12 Cents for Marvin.
From noon until 1 p.m., Live @ Lunch will feature a variety of local bands from a wide range of music styles and genres. Typically, the host introduces the artists or group and will control the flow of the show. However, each artist will need to have a minimum of 40 minutes of original material while the other 20 minutes will feature short interviews in between songs. The renovated studio is located at the Music District in Fort Collins.
KRFC is primarily run through volunteers. Opportunities to become a DJ or work through a variety of technical aspects can be reviewed online. Additionally, bands wanting to book a spot on the show should contact KRFC directly. For more information about KRFC and Live @ Lunch, visit krfc.fm.
