Need a reason to visit a brewery this week? Here you go.
Gilded Goat Brewing Company is partnering with The Nappie Project to host a diaper drive. Kicking off November 6 and going through November 13, diaper donations will be welcomed. This Monday, from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m., the family-owned brewery will host a fundraising party where patrons bringing diapers for donation will receive a dollar off their beer going toward The Nappie Project’s diaper bank.
The Nappie Project is a non-profit dedicated to ensuring children in Loveland, Fort Collins, and the surrounding communities have an adequate supply of diapers. According to their website, 1 in 3 families fall short of having diapers in the US, while families cannot use food stamps to buy diapers. Since opening in 2016, The Nappie Project has distributed 103,402 diapers. The diapers collected through The Nappie Project are distributed through the Larimer County Food Bank and other local partnering organizations.
“As a family run brewery and one that also caters to many families, we are thrilled to support this cause,” says one of the family owners, John Hoxmeier. “Dads, draft beer, diapers. This theme makes sense to us.“
