As May comes to an end, the Summer fun is just beginning to heat up. Keep an eye out for new events every weekend, Fort Collins always has something going on. Here’s the upcoming slate of events this weekend, 6/1-6/3.
Friday, June 1st
First Friday walk and free opera show at The Carnegie.
The Carnegie Center of Fort Collins is participating in the “First Friday Walk,” – an event in which local art and entertainment business stay open late for interactive displays on the first Friday of every month. This will be going on from 6 to 9 p.m. Earlier in the day, there will be a free opera concert at Noon in the Heritage Courtyard.
Downtown Sessions Concert Series
A great opportunity to catch live music in Old Town Square. Preforming this Friday are bands Tallgrass and Maxwell Mud. The concert will begin at 6 p.m. and go until 9. Admission is FREE and beverages are provided by Odell brewing and High Country Beverage.
Saturday, June 2nd
Old Town Car Show
If you’re in Old Town this weekend, expect to see a plethora of hot rods, muscle cars, and motorcycles roaming the streets. The car show is going on from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m in Downtown Old Town, and is free to the public. Want to register your vehicle? It’s not too late. Click here for details, registration closes tomorrow!
An event meant to celebrate the importance of the Poudre River and allow the community to connect with those who work to maintain it. This is an all day event designed for all ages, beginning at Noon. Expect food trucks, live music, a beer garden, and fun activities for the kids!
Sunday, June 3rd
11th annual Tour de Coop
The Tour de Coop is a 6-8 mile bike ride in which you’ll travel to various chicken coops around the Fort Collins area, learning about chickens “from beak to butt.” Starts at 8:30 a.m. and costs $25 to participate.
