This Weekend in Fort Collins: 6/29-7/1

This weekend, there is something going on for all types of crowds. Highlighting the slate of events is AnimeCon, Fort Collins’ annual anime and manga convention. One Day Learn to Knit Class

When: Friday, June 29th

Have you ever wanted to learn how to knit, but didn’t know where to start? This is your chance to start from ground zero. The event will be hosted by Lambspun, a company who strives to “bring the customer the best classes, fibers, and yarns to nurture your designs.” The historic Lambspun property has been attracting visitors from all over the country for years. Come see the Mediterranean style buildings for yourself this Friday.

Fort Collins Fitness Festival

When: Saturday, June 30th

If there’s one thing Fort Collins natives love more than beer, it’s working out. This Saturday, take part in the first annual FoCo Fitness Festival at Colorado State’s new on-campus stadium. Experience everything from weight lifting, to Zumba, to Cross Fit. This is your chance to be a part of something new and fun in the Northern Colorado fitness world, don’t miss out!

AnimeCon (Ages 10+)

When: Saturday, June 30th

For all you anime lovers out there. The annual Fort Collins AnimeCon is being held at the Old Town Library this Saturday from Noon to 4 p.m. Take part in workshops, games, contests, and so much more. The deadline to register for the cosplay contest has already passed, but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t still dress up. Everyone will be there for the same reason, their love for anime! The best part? It’s free and doesn’t require any registration.

Fermented Foods @ Golden Poppy
