Welcome to the first official full weekend in September! The fall activities are gearing up, but there is never a shortage of music and beer in Northern Colorado. Here are this weekend’s Highlights. Check out our events page for a full event listing at:

Friday September 7

First Friday Gallery Walk, Downtown Fort Collins, 6pm
Historic Downtown Fort Collins is home to a vibrant art community! Each month during First Friday Gallery Walk, 15 of Old Town’s finest galleries, museums, and art-minded shops stay open late for new showcases, interactive displays, and artist talks during this self-guided walking tour. Gallery Walk takes place on the first Friday of each month, from 6pm-9pm.

Patrick Sweany at Magic Rat, 7pm
Nashville vocalist/guitarist Patrick Sweany doesn’t hold back on his latest studio album, Ancient Noise. Sweany recorded the new tunes with GRAMMY® Award-winning engineer/producer Matt Ross-Spang after Ross-Spang invited Sweany to check out his new homebase at legendary Sam Phillips Recording in Memphis. The studio that Phillips had custom built in the 70s has been meticulously refurbished by the Phillips family.

Saturday September 8

Walrus Ice Cream Give Back Day, Walrus Ice Cream, 11am
Join us at Walrus Ice Cream for the BEST homemade ice cream! At this great “give back” event we’ll also be raising awareness of ovarian cancer symptoms and risk factors. More information about Walrus:

10th Annual Fall Harvest Brewfest, Fall Harvest Brewfest, 4pm
If you’re a beer lover in Northern Colorado, chances are you have a bucket list of brews to check off. Enter Fall Harvest Brewfest: an epic one stop, unlimited sipping experience. The event is in its 10th year of production after launching in 2009, pairing with Animal House Rescue & Grooming. More information:

The Grass is Dead with Special Guests, Hodi’s Half Note, 8pm
What’s in a name? Sometimes, everything… The Grass Is Dead are a bluegrass combo paying homage to the music and cultural legacy of The Grateful Dead, arguably America’s first folk rock band and one of the most influential musical artists of the last 50 years. More information:

Fort Collins based Hendershot play alternative Rock Country music. More information:

Colorado Green Band, Larimer County Farmer’s Market, 9a-12p
Do some dancing as you’re shopping. The Colorado Green Band will be playing the Larimer County Farmer’s Market Sept. 8, 2018. Playing a mix of Country-Blues and Folk-Rock the band mixes original songs with interesting covers. More information:

Keller William’s PettyGrass ft. The Hillbenders, Mishawaka Ampitheatre, 8pm
Keller Williams PettyGrass ft. The HillBenders featuring one set of PettyGrass and one set of Keller Solo – with Derek Blake Music. Petty Grass is Bluegrass versions of Tom Petty hits. Sing-alongs that some people didn’t even know they knew. Tom Petty songs are like that and Petty Grass celebrates this.

Sunday September 9

The Verve Pipe and Danielle At the Sandwich, The Armory, 7pm

2018 3Hopeful Hearts Community 5k, City Park, 9am
The 3Hopeful Hearts Community 5K is the kick off of our annual Month of Hope and Remembrance.
During it’s Month of Hope and Remembrance on September 9th and October 12th, 2018, 3Hopeful Hearts will hold the 6th Annual Community 5K Run, the 8th Annual Walk to Remember, and the 7th Annual Music Benefit & Auction. 3Hopeful Hearts is a 501lc)3 that provides support to bereaved parents in Northern Colorado.
