The Mishawaka Amphitheatre and Z2 Entertainment join forces

The Mishawaka Amphitheatre and Z2 Entertainment are proud to announce that they are joining forces once again to enhance the live music landscape of Fort Collins with an agreement to book and operate the historic Aggie Theatre, 204 S. College Avenue, Fort Collins, Colo., currently operated by the ownership group of Cervantes Masterpiece Ballroom in Denver.

“Z2 Entertainment has been considering the Fort Collins market for quite some time,” says Cheryl Liguori, CEO of Z2 Entertainment. “We feel the Z2-Mishawaka partnership – with our combined teams, experience and vision – will bring long-term success to the venue. We will make several small improvements right away that we feel patrons and artists will appreciate, and we plan to expand on those improvements over the next year.”

The new alliance, Fort Collins Entertainment, will take ownership of The Aggie on March 7, 2019. Z2 Entertainment will book the 650-capacity club and The Mishawaka team will oversee day-to-day operations. Liguori and Dani Grant (owner, The Mishawaka) will manage the strategic direction of the company.

“The Aggie is a perfect project for us,” Grant says. “We’re no strangers to taking a historic venue and investing our resources to elevate its reputation.” Grant, also the general manager of Mishawaka Amphitheatre, is particularly excited for her experienced seasonal venue staff to flex their skills year-round. “It gives them a chance to advance their careers in the industry and deseasonalizes their employment,” she says. “That’s important to us as local business owners who care about retaining talent and supporting the livelihoods of the people we work with.”

Z2 Entertainment’s Joe Golaszewski will be the lead Talent Buyer for the Aggie Theater.  “With the backing of the strong and growing Fort Collins community, I’m thrilled to be a part of the revitalization of The Aggie Theater,” Golaszewski says.

David Weingarden, Z2’s Director of Concerts / Programming, adds: “As we continue to deepen our partnership with the Mishawaka, who we’ve had the pleasure of successfully working with over the past 5 years, we’re extremely excited to bring the best live music and events to Fort Collins and into the iconic Aggie Theater on a year-round basis.”

The soon-to-be former Aggie owners feel confident about the team to which they are leaving the beloved venue. “I can’t think of better people to take over The Aggie than Z2 and The Mishawaka,” says Scott Morrill, Cervantes Masterpiece Ballroom owner. “With their experience and expertise, I know that the Aggie Theatre and the Fort Collins music scene are both in good hands.  I’m very happy we were able to work this out.”
