Fort Collins Fitness Festival is Bigger and Better for 2019

When Rachel Pastor walks into a room, the mood changes.

One conversation with Pastor has you motivated to train for that 5k you’ve been mulling over or join your buddy at that fitness class she keeps asking you about.

“I really aim to bring the joy of health and fitness to people’s lives,” Pastor said.

And I’d say she’s accomplishing that.

Pastor, the visionary and creator behind the Fort Collins Fitness Festival, began working in the fitness industry a decade ago. A personal transformation in her 20s sparking her passion for health and fitness.

“It (fitness) filled something in me,” she said. “And I thought, now how can I bring this to other people?”

Enter 2017 when Fitness Festival Events, LLC was born.

What started as a dream quickly morphed into fitness events and pop-ups in Northern Colorado, and beyond.

And in 2018, the first Fort Collins Fitness Festival came to life.

“Word spread and it grew fast,” Pastor said. “And, it was a million times harder than I imagined to pull together.”

But pull together she did.

This year though? She’s aiming for more people, more events and more sweat.

“My goal is 10,000 tickets sold,” Pastor said. “The event is on a whole other level.”

And a whole new venue.

This year the Fort Collins Fitness Festival will take over downtown Fort Collins, kicking off with a 5k run/walk/skip led by Orangetheory Fitness followed by 30 plus fitness events and a special HIIT workout taught by Shaunt T Fitness.

Plus, plenty of fun for the whole family to enjoy.

“This year we will have Kids FitZONE and kids 12 and under will be free on the general admission ticket,” Pastor said. “We really want the whole family to come.”

Whole family, and even that friend that hates running. With your choice of yoga, pilates, dancing or HIIT workouts, there’s something for everyone to get the heart rate going.

There’s even beer.

“Because we know that Fort Collins loves beer,” Pastor said.

Plus, carbs are good post-workout, right?

While the Fort Collins Fitness Festival (FCFF) might just seem like another festival to add to the dozens on the Fort Collins event calendar, this festival is so much more. Bringing together a handful of local fitness representatives, hundreds of community members and even donating beer proceeds to local charities, the FCFF is a place to challenge yourself, meet new friends and feel good about jumping out of your comfort zone.

No matter what workout(s) you choose, you’re sure to have a really great time.

So what are you waiting for? Grab your ticket at and be ready for a full Saturday of fun, fitness and serious motivation.

I’ll see you there. Sweating and smiling guaranteed.
