Wood Belly: A year of accomplishments

Wood Belly released a four-song EP entitled “November,” in April of 2019, and had the release show at Wildflower Pavilion at Planet Bluegrass. They are issuing their 3rd release, a full-length album featuring Jeremy Garrett (Infamous Stringdusters) on four tracks entitled “Man on the Radio on 1/31/20. The release party is on the same day at Oriental Theatre in Denver w/ The Grace Clark Band and extraordinary guests TBA.
The album is produced by Grammy winner Sally Van Meter and engineered by Aaron Youngberg of Swingfingers Studio. The album is a direct result of a Kickstarter campaign that raised over $24,000.

Beyond all of the new music, 2019 was a whirlwind for the Fort Collins band Wood Belly. After winning the 2018 TELLURIDE BLUEGRASS BAND CONTEST WINNERS and 2018 IBMA MOMENTUM NOMINEE. The group got to play on the big stage in Telluride because of the win.

“That was definitely a highlight getting to look out from the stage to see those huge mountains and so many fans dancing their butts off in a rain and snow flurry,” says Taylor Shuck(bass).

Wood Belly played many other countless festivals and shows this past year and started touring to new regions of the country. They plan to keep the momentum into 2020 and expand their music to, eventually, the whole country.
