In January, North Forty News acquired Scene Magazine. The agreement placed full ownership and operations of Scene Magazine operations under North Forty News.
“This acquisition by North Forty News brings together two unique community oriented locally owned publications,” said North Forty News Publisher and Owner Blaine Howerton. “Both publications have been been serving Northern Colorado for close to 30 years. I see a very bright future for two very special locally owned publications,” said Howerton.
Scene Magazine and North Forty News will remain as separate publications, sharing certain distribution points and corporate resources. North Forty News will be operating both publications as separate businesses. Starting in February, Scene has been slightly rebranded as the New Scene Magazine, it has increased its content by four pages, invested in improved printing quality and it has begun an expansion of Scene’s digital presence. Additional Journalists and content specialists have also been added.
In the coming months, the New Scene Magazine is focusing on outreach through community events and increasing content to cover all of Northern Colorado.
